Tropical Storm Zeta Update

We are grateful to report that Duke Power repaired the electrical line that was down on Garlington Road, restoring power to the entire RGV campus. Thanks for your patience and support over the last 36 hours of electrical outage at our community.

October 30

Rolling Green Village is experiencing a continual power outage due to Tropical Storm Zeta. Duke Power has let us know we should have full power back on by Sunday evening at the latest.

Rolling Green Village’s generators in the licensed care area and the Commons are working and we have contracts in place for emergency fuel delivery. We are setting up temporary generators to provide power to the emergency lighting and other systems in the apartments.

Staff is taking a number of steps to assist residents across our campus. They are making rounds to all apartments and cottages to assist with resident needs. Staff is checking with at risk residents in the patio homes as well. Our Commons kitchen is fully functional, however, we will have a reduced menu.

We have additional staff staying on campus throughout the power outage and until the full restoration of all our systems. We will provide updates as they are made available.
