Now that construction has finished and we’re able to gather safely in person, it’s time to celebrate the Grand Opening of our multimillion-dollar expansion project. On Thursday, August 26, we’ll be cutting the ribbon, recognizing all the hard work and perseverance that saw us through a pandemic in the midst of construction, and enjoying live music and delicious treats from one of Greenville’s favorite food trucks. New residences. New amenities. Same warm welcomes.
The expansion is one of the biggest developments in our history and will enable us to meet the growing needs and changing expectations of the next generation of seniors. Get a glimpse of the expansion by viewing our gallery. Some highlights of our expansion include:
- New apartment homes — We’ve added an entire wing of independent living apartments offering a choice of one-, two- and three-bedroom residences on three floors in a variety of floor plans.
- New cottages — A brand-new tree-lined neighborhood has sprung up featuring 11 stand-alone cottages and 12 duplex residences — some with walkout basements.
- The Commons — This brand-new 27,590-square-foot village center is home to a bistro, open-kitchen-design restaurant, private dining room, game and multipurpose rooms, arts and crafts studio, and library. The Commons is also our new front door with a porte-cochere entrance, and a spacious light-filled lobby and lounge. (You’ll love the view from our floor-to-ceiling windows.)
- New salon — This new space is actually an old space. We repurposed and redesigned our old commons to provide more multipurpose spaces and a stylish new salon.
We’re proud of our expansion and delighted to see residents enjoying the new amenities. But rest assured, everything residents have always loved about Rolling Green Village — the sense of community; the boundless hospitality; the peace of mind our Life Plan Community in Greenville, SC, provides; and the beauty of our 175-acre campus — remains unchanged.
Since opening in 1986 as a not-for-profit senior living community founded on Christian ideals, our mission has been to enrich quality of life and foster independence for the people we serve. That’s something residents and their families can continue to celebrate each and every day.
