COVID-19 Community Updates

We have some changes coming at our community in light of our recent testing and results that showed no new resident cases.

Next week we will reduce the isolation unit area to four rooms and also conduct a new round of testing in partnership with Prisma Health.

This week we are welcoming hospital admissions for short-term rehab. We will increase the rehab unit from seven rooms to 13 rooms.

Last week we welcomed seven residents back to the skilled nursing area and out of the isolation unit after they beat their COVID-19 diagnosis. As of today, there is one resident currently in our dedicated isolation unit receiving specialized care. We also currently have five team members who tested positive for COVID-19 and who are isolated at home.

Rolling Green Village continues to take extensive precautions outlined by the CDC and to isolate residents who are diagnosed with COVID-19. We have several cases at our community as of today – all are residents in skilled nursing.

Dr. Baily, medical director at Rolling Green Village, has enlisted the help of a PRISMA Healthcare epidemiologist to evaluate our health care neighborhood to ensure we are doing all we can to protect your loved ones and our team members during this unprecedented time.

The safety and well-being of our residents and team members remains our top priority. We are committed to working diligently to mitigate exposure and spread of COVID-19.

We continue to monitor other residents and team members for symptoms and will share updates as appropriate.

April 4, 2020

Despite extensive precautionary measures and strict adherence to guidelines issued by the CDC and our local health authorities, two residents in skilled nursing at Rolling Green Village were recently diagnosed with COVID-19.

We deeply regret any concern or uncertainty this may cause residents, team members and their loved ones during this challenging time. As an employer and caregiver, we give the highest priority to the safety and well-being of those who live and work here – this was true before COVID-19 and will remain so afterward.

We continue to work diligently with health officials to examine where this person may have been exposed, either on campus or in the greater community, and will take all necessary actions to limit further risk or spread. We continue to closely monitor other residents and team members for symptoms and will share any updates as appropriate.

After careful consideration for the health and safety of residents, employees, and family members, our community amended its visitor policy on Monday, March 16, and is restricting visitors from entering our community.
