COVID-19 Community Updates

We are happy to report that Rolling Green Village received zero deficiencies in the recent Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) survey. This infection control survey affirms that team members are working hard to keep residents safe.  This is the third DHEC infection control survey since April 2020. This year, the surveys are focusing on prevention and control of the coronavirus.

Rolling Green Village continues to take every reasonable measure to manage the risk of COVID-19. This includes:

  • Enhancing infection control precautions.
  • Screening residents, staff and essential visitors for expanded list of symptoms.
  • Restricting visitation and entry of people to the building.
  • Testing staff and residents for COVID-19 based on current protocols and availability of tests.
  • Cancelling all communal activities.

July 3, 2020

As we head into the holiday weekend ahead, the Rolling Green Village family remains vigilant with protocols and procedures to protect residents and team members. Today, we’re saddened to report four new cases of COVID-19 on our campus – three team members and one licensed-area resident. The team members are currently quarantined at home, while the resident has been moved to the newly reopened COVID-19 isolation wing. All of these individuals and their families are in our thoughts and prayers.

We have identified and informed residents and team members who may have been in contact with these individuals. At this time, no other resident or team member has reported COVID-19 symptoms.

As positive cases rise in the Greater Greenville community, we continue to implement the following precautions:

  • No group activities of five or more people.
  • Closed window visits for residents in the license areas only.
  • Closure of all exercise areas including the pool and meeting spaces
  • Only one visitor in the library at a time.
  • Social distancing will be enforced, and all residents and team members must wear masks in all public areas, except when eating.
  • All campus transportation has been suspended, except for essential medical care.
  • Visitors, vendors, contractors and caregivers will have their temperatures taken and must complete a coronavirus questionnaire upon coming to the campus.
  • Any travel off the campus for more than a few hours may require a quarantine for 14 days.

We know this is a difficult time, especially during the holiday, and we’re asking for your help to keep everyone safe and healthy. We encourage residents to go outside, enjoy the beautiful weather, but do so safely. Wear a mask. Practice social distancing. Wash your hands.

We appreciate the continued support and wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday weekend.

We also want to remind people to take precautions as COVID-19 cases in our state and Greenville County have spiked. We appreciate the continued support and will continue these updates about tests and visits with loved ones as appropriate.

April 4, 2020

Despite extensive precautionary measures and strict adherence to guidelines issued by the CDC and our local health authorities, two residents in skilled nursing at Rolling Green Village were recently diagnosed with COVID-19.

We deeply regret any concern or uncertainty this may cause residents, team members and their loved ones during this challenging time. As an employer and caregiver, we give the highest priority to the safety and well-being of those who live and work here – this was true before COVID-19 and will remain so afterward.

We continue to work diligently with health officials to examine where this person may have been exposed, either on campus or in the greater community, and will take all necessary actions to limit further risk or spread. We continue to closely monitor other residents and team members for symptoms and will share any updates as appropriate.

After careful consideration for the health and safety of residents, employees, and family members, our community amended its visitor policy on Monday, March 16, and is restricting visitors from entering our community.
