About US
At Rolling Green Village,
We’re Ready When You Are
Welcome to Our Life Plan Community in Greenville, SC
Our 175 acres of rolling hills, green space, and lakes have a history. As the first Life Plan Community in the area, Rolling Green Village was once part of a working dairy farm owned by Hoke and Mildred Smith. The vision for bringing a high-quality local senior living option to Greenville began more than 35 years ago, after Hoke became ill and needed more care than the couple could provide themselves. Working with local church leaders, the Smiths donated the land to create Rolling Green Village.

I chose to be on the board as a thank you and because I wanted to be part of something that makes a positive difference in people’s lives. Rolling Green certainly did that in the lives of my mother, my mother-in-law, and my father-in-law. I am very thankful for that!

Years served on the Board – 1 year
Currently serving as Division Manager/VP for Evans GC – Greenville Division, responsible for overall growth, profitability, and direction in this region. I bring 20 years of engineering and project management experience in the real estate / construction industry for large projects and clients.
I have benefited from living in the Greenville area for two decades and love this community. When a friend called with a need for a board position at RGV, that was an opportunity for me to serve my community and give back. RGV has been serving our community for many years, and I hope I can have a positive influence in helping it to continue to prosper for many more years!
Gary Judd
I have been on the Board since November 2022, so about 2.5 years.
As a former Chief Financial Officer, financial analyst and banker, I was motivated to utilize my experiences from the business world to make a contribution to Rolling Green Village as a Board Trustee. Currently, I am a member of the Finance Committee.
In retirement, I am interested in giving back to our community through involvement in a Christian, non-profit organization like Rolling Green Village. Becoming a member of the Board fulfills that objective, where hopefully I can help to make a difference for both the residents and the staff.
